SPECIALISING IN NURSING & RESIDENTIAL CARE IN NOTTINGHAM

As soon as you walk into Connect House you will be met with beautiful and homely visual stimulation. We are not a hotel and we aren’t aiming to be one. We are a home and a family. Our two suites offer two very different services and therefore our environments are different to reflect this.

Garden suite offers a more simple, uncluttered and functional space for short-term residents who are striving to return home following hospital admissions. Whilst there are homely touches with beautiful soft furnishings and wall decorations, there is a less intimate feeling with a focus and reablement, physiotherapy and discharge back to their home environments. Spaces are uncluttered to aid physiotherapy and whilst the Well-Being team focus on emotional wellbeing during the person’s stay, the main focus of this environment is to support individuals to return to their own surroundings or long-term care at the earliest opportunity.

Heritage suite is full of occupation reflective of individual life histories of our family who live here. The focus is on reablement and supporting our family members to feel valued and a part of life. We have Betty’s Tea Shop, quiet reflective spaces and open communal areas. Heritage in comparison to the environment of the Garden Suite, is calm and unhurried, relaxed and homely.

Each suite has access to a beautiful outside space at all times, weather permitting. Fresh air and freedom are essential for our family members and reablement residents as part of their wellbeing. We have a strong connection to our outdoors and promote gardening and other outdoor occupation. The projects for 2022/2023 include developing our outside spaces to include a green house, vegetable and flower gardens, a holiday area complete with beach and children’s play area to enable grandchildren to spend time at the home with their grandparents and great grandparents where they can fully participate in family life.
